Our Story

A creative journey that starts with wax

Inspired by nature, architecture, and the details found in everyday spaces, my work explores form, texture, and material, creating objects designed to be lived with, noticed, and used.

How it began

Before Joll Studio, I spent 15 years working in marketing. I always wanted to create something of my own, but for a long time, that idea stayed in the background. In 2024, I left my corporate job and found myself working with wax. Starting with candles led me to explore how everyday objects can add character, atmosphere, and intention to our living spaces.

More than a candle

A sculptural candle can sit on a shelf, coffee table or bedside long before it is ever lit. Its curves, texture and form become part of the room around it.

Joll Studio’s candle scents take a slightly different approach. Rather than starting with lists of notes, each scent is inspired by places, routines and memories, like the smell of coffee before the day begins, fresh sheets in the morning, or a room you remember long after you leave.

Made slowly, in Singapore

Every Joll Studio piece is made in small batches from my home workspace in Singapore. Each one passes through my hands, from pouring and testing to demoulding, refining and finishing. Working this way takes time, and I have chosen not to rush the process.

Where Joll Studio is going

Joll Studio started with candles, but wax is only the beginning.

Over time, I hope to explore new forms, materials and functional objects for the home, gradually building a collection connected by the same curiosity about form, atmosphere and everyday living.

For now, Joll Studio will continue to grow in much the same way each object is made:
slowly, thoughtfully, one piece at a time.
