What are your candles made of?

Our candles are made with eco-friendly soy or beeswax, blended with phthalate-free fragrances and finished with lead-free cotton or wood wicks for a clean, safe burn.

Can I burn my decorative candle?

Yes, though they're designed first as decorative pieces. Their sculptural shapes mean they may melt unevenly and have shorter burn times than a standard candle. If you'd like to burn them, place them on a heat-resistant dish to protect your surfaces. For full burning guidance, visit our Care & Usage page.

Is it usual for my candle to have minor imperfections?

Absolutely. Small variations in texture, frosting, and colour are natural characteristics of handmade soy candles; they're a sign of the process, not a flaw. Slight colour differences may also occur due to monitor settings, lighting conditions, or the presence of vanilla-based fragrances.

What is frosting, and is it normal?

Frosting is a natural phenomenon where a crystalline or chalky film forms on the surface of soy wax over time. It happens as the wax molecules gradually realign, something that only occurs with 100% natural soy wax. It has no effect on scent, burn quality, or performance and is actually a good indicator that your candle is made from a natural material.

Why do my candles turn yellow over time?

Sunlight & Heat – Sunlight can cause wax to oxidise and yellow over time, so it's best to store candles away from direct light and heat.
Fragrance Oils – Candles containing vanillin, a compound naturally found in vanilla, will discolour gradually. This is entirely normal and doesn't affect how the candle burns.

How long will my candle last?

Burn time varies depending on the size and shape of the candle. As a general guide, allow one hour of burn time per inch of diameter, and avoid burning for more than 4 hours in a single session. Decorative candles tend to have shorter burn lives than jar candles due to their sculptural forms.
