All our candles are hand-poured in small batches. Allow a 2-week curing period (from the creation date listed on the packaging) before burning for an optimal burn.

• Trim the wick to 0.6cm before each burn to ensure a clean, even flame. A wick that’s too long may flicker, produce soot, or cause uneven burning.
  
• Wax has a “burn memory,” so allow the candle to burn long enough for the melt pool to reach the edges, typically 1–4 hours, depending on the candle’s size. If not, tunnelling may occur. 
• Candles should burn one hour for every 1 inch in diameter. For example, a candle with a 3-inch diameter should burn for at least 3 hours, or until a full melt pool forms. However, do not exceed 4 hours per burn to prevent overheating.
  
• Extinguish safely. Avoid blowing out the flame, as it can cause hot wax to splatter. Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame gently.
• Allow the candle to cool completely and let the wax fully solidify before relighting.

Fixing an Unevenly Burned Candle

• For tunnelling: Wrap the top of the candle with aluminium foil, leaving a small opening above the flame. The trapped heat will help melt the wax evenly across the surface.

How to Clean Your Candle Jar

Choose one of these methods to remove any leftover wax. Ensure the candle has fully burned out and cooled.

Freezing Method:
Place the jar in the freezer for a few hours. The cold will cause the wax to contract and harden, making it easier to pop out. Use tweezers or a similar tool to lift the wax out gently. Use a damp cloth or a soft microfiber cloth to wipe the inside and outside of the jar.

Hair Dryer or Heat Gun Method:
Use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm the wax until it softens. Carefully wipe it away with paper towels. Use a damp cloth or a soft microfiber cloth to wipe the inside and outside of the jar.

Avoid Harsh Cleaners:
Do not use abrasive cleaners or strong chemical products, as these can damage the surface and its protective sealant.

The finish is water- and heat-resistant, formulated to maintain its fade-resistant shine. To keep your piece looking its best, avoid excessive water exposure, high-humidity areas, and dishwashers.
